Publications available through NewsStand are presented in either our iBrowse viewer or the NewsStand Reader application, depending on the chosen format of the specific publisher.
HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS:The following shows the RECOMMENDED hardware platform:
An Intel® Pentium® processor-based personal computer (Pentium II 233 MHz or higher recommended)
Or AMD® Athlon® processor-based personal computer (K6-2 500 MHz or higher)
128 MB of RAM
Broadband Internet Connection at least 128 kbps.
A High Capacity Hard Drive with 100 MB free hard disk space. Each issue of a publications will consume approximately 2-40 MB of hard drive space.
The following shows the MINIMUM hardware required:
An Intel® Pentium® processor-based personal computer (Pentium 166 MHz minimum)
Or AMD® Athlon® processor-based personal computer (K6-2 500 MHz)
64 MB of RAM
56 kps Modem or better Internet Connection
A High Capacity Hard Drive with 75 MB free hard disk space. Each issue of a publications will consume approximately 2-40 MB of hard drive space.

SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:One of the following Microsoft Windows Platforms:
Windows® 98 Second Edition with latest patches
Windows® NT Workstation 4.0 (Service Pack 5 or later): Click here for special Windows NT installation instructions.
Windows® 2000 Professional (Service Pack 2 or greater): Click here for special Windows 2000 installation instructions.
Windows® ME (Millennium Edition) with the latest patches

Windows® Vista with latest patches
The following Internet browser:
Microsoft Internet Explorer® version 5.x or higher (Version 5.5 or higher recommended)
The NewsStand Reader software requires certain dynamic link library (.dll) files specific to Internet Explorer version 5.x to provide its messaging services. This dependency does not preclude a NewsStand subscriber from using Netscape as their standard web browser; however, a support version of Internet Explorer must be installed on the PC or the NewsStand Reader software will not install.
Other required software:
If you are on a network, you must have the correct privileges to download programs from a public web site and also install software on your system to use the NewsStand Reader.
